The Primary school was built in 1872 in the parish of Ludgvan after a law passed, entitling every child between the age of 5-10 to go to school. In 2021, Dee started the restoration project to transform the school into a unique space with lovingly restored interiors, a wood-fired sauna, and a Mongolian yurt.
We believe that there is a growing need for sanctuary spaces available to include people of all abilities and backgrounds.
Al-Nara is one of three lovingly created immersive spaces provided at The Primary School. Our sauna has become a refuge from the demands of life and offers a quiet, safe and sacred space open to community.
A place apart from time where the magic of a nomadic yurt, a wood fired barrel sauna and a 150 year old bohemian school, is amplified by the beauty of the setting on the outskirts of an enchanting woodland and an ancient stream.
An immersive experience that celebrates the art of embodiment through the revival of ancient practises.
In collaboration with teachers and guides from all over the world, you can expect freedom of exploration and expression at The Primary School.
We love community, we relish connecting, so feel free to reach out and come for a visit
