Full Moon Sauna & Tea Ceremony: A Sacred Gathering of Breath, Drum & Reflection

Welcome to The Old School Of Mysteries, a sacred sanctuary space for embodied experiential spirituality, dedicated to guiding you on a transformative spiritual journey.

Join us on Friday, March 14, 2025, under the radiant full moon for a Sauna Tea Ceremony that weaves together ancient Bedouin wisdom, Sufi tradition, and deep elemental ritual.

This is not an abstract or inaccessible offering, it is a structured yet immersive experience, guiding you through intentional heat, breathwork, drumming, mindfulness, and sacred tea ritual, all held together by the resonance of Sufi chants.

We will gather 11 souls for an intimate evening of connection, purification, and transformation.

Details & How to Join

  • 📅 Date & Time: Friday, March 14, 2025 (6:45 PM - 9:15 PM)
  • 📍 Location: The Old Primary School
  • 👥 Capacity: Limited to 11 participants
  • 🎟 Contribution: Gift Economy (see below for details)
  • 🔖 Bring: 2 towels, water bottle, object for the altar & an open heart

 🌒 WHY JOIN?

  • A Guided, Accessible Journey – This is not about woo-woo or esoteric mysticism. It is a clear, structured experience that balances ancient ritual with modern mindfulness, ensuring you feel held every step of the way.

  • Elemental Transformation – Move through four intentional rounds of sauna, each honoring an essential element, followed by a gentle, cooling integration with deeper elements of consciousness.

  • Ancient Bedouin Tea Ritual – At the heart of the gathering is a sacred tea ritual, informed by my Bedouin lineage, where we will brew and drink an herbal blend designed to deepen inner listening and connection.

  • Resonance of Sufi Chants – As a mistress of Arabic sacred chants, I will guide us in ancient Sufi melodies—not just as songs, but as portals to inner wisdom and spiritual presence. We will also explore sanskrit Mantras and english medicine songs.

  • A Safe, Small Circle – This is a contained, intimate space for 11 participants, ensuring the depth of experience remains personal and profound.

 🌒 WHAT TO EXPECT?

1. A Journey Through the Elements

Each round of the sauna is dedicated to one of the four classical elements:

  • Earth – Ground and root into the body.
  • Fire – Ignite your inner warmth and vitality.
  • Air – Expand breath, voice, and liberation.
  • Water – Cleanse, sweat, and drink tea in purification.

As the sauna cools, we transition into the final integration:

  • Ether – Connect with the unseen, the liminal space.
  • Mind – Cultivate insight, awareness, and stillness.
  • Consciousness – Open to the full presence of self and spirit.

2. Breath, Drum & Sacred Chants

  • Drumming & Voice Activation – Engage with rhythm, breath, and vocal resonance to stir the deep wisdom within.
  • Guided Mindfulness & Meditation – A slow descent into stillness, presence, and intentional reflection.
  • Sufi Chants – Ancient melodies passed through my lineage, carrying the pulse of devotion and remembrance.

3. Bedouin Tea Ritual

  • Foraged Sacred Herbs from Lebanon – The tea we drink will be a hand-selected herbal infusion, using  plants known for grounding, clarity, and heart-opening properties.

  • A Symbol of Sacred Exchange – The act of brewing and drinking tea together roots us in tradition, inviting presence and contemplation.

 🌒 YOUR FACILITATOR

My name is Dee, I am the founder of The Old Primary School and the Guardian Of The Land.

I am a sacred sexuality coach and a family resolution coach. I have practiced, held, and guided rituals and ceremonies for decades.

These spaces are informed by decades of study and practice of my own lineage: We are Badawī, pre-existing Arabic-speaking communities, and flavoured by my journey as both a devotee of the Sufi path (I studied from a young age with my father who is a seeker) and my studies of the Vedic tradition in Sanskrit.

I am initiated as a Mistress of tea ceremony in my culture and a sacred sexuality priestess in the tantric tradition.

 🌒 WHAT IS MY CONTRIBUTION?

You get to decide what to pay. You decide on  your contribution towards this journey.

This is the GEM (Gift Economy Model), the foundation of this project and an embodied practise this space is aiming to model.

This being a non-profit led initiative that relies on the GEM model to share the magic of the school space with community, your voluntary surplus contribution allow the project to exist

The "Surplus" is essentially the "Profit" of a traditional business model.

The Cost to hold this ceremony covers: Heating | Wood | Insurance | Cleaning | High grade Tea | and a nominal contribution for the facilitator's time

Our cost to run this intimate gathering is £20 pp. Any contribution beyond £20 is entirely voluntary, offered as a gift to the space &  this vision that holds us all.

May we continue to gather, to hold each other's visions and to thrive as community 🫶🏼

GEM - The Gift Economy

Playing with Sacred Exchange!

Introduction:

This space was never meant to be a business in the traditional sense. It is a living, breathing ecosystem, a place where transformation is nurtured, and community is woven through shared experience.

Over the years, I have been guided by a simple truth: strong connections make resilient communities, and resilient communities make resilient people.

In keeping with this ethos, my approach to pricing is different. I see financial exchange as just one piece of a larger, more meaningful system, one that values trust, reciprocity, and conscious contribution.

A Note on the Gift Economy - GEM:

Unlike other ceremonies where tickets reflect the facilitator’s needs and venue costs, this gathering follows the path of sacred exchange, a revival of the Gift Economy.

This means:

  • I will share the base cost to run the ceremony (wood, utilities, insurance, etc.).
  • You determine your own contribution, honouring both the sustainability of this space and the personal value of your experience.
  • Any surplus supports the greater vision: keeping this sanctuary alive, hosting guest facilitators, and funding future donation-based gatherings.

At 53 years old, having facilitated for 25 years, I know that my dharma is to walk this path of sacred exchange—not as an easy choice, but as the truest one.

I fund this project personally, choosing not to be reliant on grants that entangle us in systems we seek to move beyond. My work in sacred sexuality, family discourse coaching, and transformational facilitation sustains me—and through the gift economy, this space can remain a living, breathing experiment in community-supported sanctuary.

Giving Freely, From the Heart

Any contributions beyond the essentials are entirely voluntary, offered as a gift to the land, the space, and the vision that holds us all. In a traditional business model, this would be considered profit, a fixed amount woven into the cost of the experience. But this is sacred business reimagined—a model that moves beyond transactional thinking and into a more conscious, co-created way of giving and receiving.

This is, at its core, an intensive journey into money consciousness, inviting us to examine our relationship with abundance, reciprocity, and trust. It is not always easy to be left to decide on our own—questions arise:
"Is this too much? Too little?"

Even the act of reducing or expanding our offering becomes a mirror for our deeper beliefs. This, in itself, is a beautiful space for reflection.

In this way, giving becomes an organic, heartfelt offering rather than an obligation, continuing the cycle of support for future gatherings and the evolution of this sacred space.

If this resonates with you, trust in the exchange, and contribute from that place of knowing.
